After looking through other people's public profiles and CVs clarity is a running theme. A CV must be clear and easy for the target audience to read as often an employer will have a large amount of them to look through and very little time to do it in. I have tried to do this by setting it out in a logical order. Please let me know if and how I can improve on this.
I have also tried to keep my CV to an A4 piece of paper as lets face it, nobody wants to read through pages and pages of intricate detail on every single performance or job you have ever worked at in your entire life. Employers are just looking for an overview of you and your career. Again I would be grateful for your comments and thoughts on whether I could add or cut anything from my CV.
Some of the paragraphs look oddly spaced out but not really sure how to change that. I've also found indentation hard to do & ended up putting loads of spaces in instead. Tips on this would be great :) x
ReplyDeleteI have being searching at other profiles and took on board your comments regarding my own professional profile. Your overall Professional profiles is great but i do feel it may be a little too structured? whilst adding key information is perfect i feel its a little too basic?
ReplyDeleteYou have a great personality i cant see that?
You are also extremely caring? share more personal experiences and give examples. i think this is a fantastic way or communicating with people.
Hope this helps!
Do CVs change according to where they are? Yes probably - so the blog CV could include images? or personal comments about events - like - audience response - etc. ? are their any parts that you especially enjoyed - could these be emphasised? Google some friends - see what they have up?
ReplyDeleteI have reviewed my blog and although I did not use imagery purely due to the images I posted on flickr, I had enjoyed looking at Gabby's blog where they illustrated her profile. In the review of my professional profile post I have added personal comments on the events I took part in and mentioned highlights. I have explained in a little more detail those events in order to emphasize them.
